Bringing Fragmented Legal Work Into One Digital Platform
Law firms, individual lawyers and clients often rely on separate systems for case management, scheduling, billing, document preparation, research and communication
Firmly was conceived as a single platform capable of supporting the wider lifecycle of legal work rather than requiring lawyers to move between disconnected tools.
The product also needed to support different types of users simultaneously, including law firms, solo practitioners and clients, while providing workflows specific to each group.
AI-assisted legal research and document workflows formed part of the product requirement, alongside offline access for lawyers working in environments where reliable internet connectivity cannot always be assumed.
Firmly also wanted to help lawyers and firms establish an online presence without needing developers, creating a requirement for customizable drag-and-drop website-building functionality within the broader platform.
